Pahdo Labs is making Starlight Re:Volver, a cooperative multiplayer action rogue-lite set in an anime inspired world. In Starlight Re:Volver, Divers travel between the lush, cutting edge Nishi Island Metropolis (NIM) and the virtual world of So Mi in pursuit of riches and stardom.
We are a 30-person team located in New York City, Vancouver BC, and across the world. Our team uniquely combines industry veterans from Riot Games, Capcom, Bungie, and WayForward with technologists from Google, Meta, and Robinhood.
๐ง The Role
We're seeking a talented Mid-Level to Senior Quality Assurance Associate for a 3-month contract (with options for renewal) to help ensure Starlight Re:Volver ships on time and at quality. You'll collaborate closely with our Quality Assurance Lead, Technical Director, and Production Director to track and resolve bugs in our product and run quality control processes around our internal development build, external demos, and Early Access.
๐ What Youโll Do
- Play our game constantly
- Find and document bugs with the right info, report them as near as possible to the time the regression was introduced, and route to the correct individual
- Use testing expertise to find and reproduce the most important bugs
- Crash test our internal game design tools
- Revisit our QA databases & docs regularly and proactively improve their quality
- Act as a first line of defense for operations and task triage resulting from QC and internal playtests / build reviews
- Team up with our Quality Assurance Lead to ensure quality control of our internal development build, external demos, and Early Access game
๐ซ Your Build Stats
- 1-4 years of professional quality assurance XP for games
- 100+ hours in relevant rogue-lites or Action RPGs, e.g., Hades, Slay the Spire, Lost Ark, and high rank in skill-based competitive games like DotA or League of Legends
- A love for action RPGs, multiplayer games, and anime/manga
- Strong communication skills and organized approach to work
๐ Bonus Buffs
- Previous work on multiplayer, co-op, action RPG, rogue-lite, and RTS games
- Knowledge of Unity Engine (bonus for having worked on your own games!)
- Familiarity with using version control (Git / Github)
- A bachelorโs degree in game design, computer science, or a technical field
